  Theresa Cordova is a driven professional with over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, serving as a leader, educator, and advocate for personal training and exercise science. She is the Founder and Owner of GEM Fitness, where she pioneered the Guided Exercise Membership program, providing unparalleled support and expert exercise prescriptions tailored to individual needs. In 2006, Theresa started Changes for Life, offering integrated health and wellness services, from personal training and coaching to community-based group fitness and education. In 2016, she founded Fit for Life, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting lifelong wellness through engaging physical activities for all ages and abilities. Her background includes a pivotal role as Partner and  Director of Certification at the Academy of Applied Personal Training Education (AAPTE), where she helped achieve and maintain the national accreditation for personal trainers. Her expertise in resistance training biomechanics, exercise physiology, and movement education drives her mission to empower individuals to lead a healthier more active life through movement.

   In addition to his role as a Personal Trainer and Coach at GEM Fitness, Thomas serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Program Director of Fit For Life, where he plays a key role in developing and overseeing programs that promote fitness, health, and wellness for people of all ages. A certified personal trainer and mixed martial artist, Thomas is passionate about helping individuals make meaningful changes in their lives, adopting healthy habits that improve both physical and mental well-being. He has a special passion for working with individuals with conditions such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, using his expertise to improve their quality of life through movement and fitness. Thomas is also Otago trained and certified in GiGi’s Fit training, equipping him with the tools to support a wide range of clients. By incorporating the discipline and strength principles he’s learned from mixed martial arts, he helps clients become mentally and physically stronger, enabling them to move more freely and function better in everyday life.

Years of studying together with a lot of time spent in an office setting, confirmed the importance of movement and mindful wellness for her. Growing up as a competitive dancer, she developed a deep appreciation for strength, flexibility and the power of intentional movement - leading her to Yoga and Pilates and health and fitness goals in general. When retiring from dancing, she continued to fulfill her passion as a dance and fitness teacher, especially for younger children.  She is also a Gigi's Fit Program certified and enjoys working with a variety of clients ranging from small children all the way to senior years.
