As a lifelong educator, with a Master's degree in Reading and my certifications with the
American Council on Exercise (ACE), I truly believe in an educational approach to fitness.
Whether we're on a spin bike, in step class, practicing Pilates, or building strength with free
weights, my goal is to make sure you understand the 'why' behind the movement.
I love designing fun classes that are both effective and engaging, and I'm dedicated to providing
modifications so that everyone, no matter their age or fitness level, feels challenged and
successful.
When I'm not in the studio, I’m enjoying life with my family, my husband Rich and three sons,
Tom, Mike and James. We love being active together and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, from
skiing in the mountains, golfing, boating and fishing, to jumping into a fun game of pickleball. I
have a passion for my work with Lauren’s First and Goal Foundation, a family founded 501c3,
dedicated to funding pediatric brain tumor research and support and teaching preservice teachers
at St. Joseph’s University.

Professionally, I serve as a Controller for a labor union, where I oversee financial operations and focus on integrity, accountability, and strong leadership. That background has helped shape my commitment to structure, organization, and delivering a high-level experience for everyone I work with.
But what means the most to me is what really drives my role here—is my personal journey.
I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life. At one point, I was 360 pounds, and I know firsthand how difficult that battle can be—physically, mentally, and emotionally. In 2010, I made a decision that changed everything: I was going to fight for my health. Since then, fitness has become more than just a goal—it’s become a lifestyle, a daily commitment, and a lifelong journey.
I understand that this path isn’t always easy. It takes consistency, resilience, and, most importantly, support. That’s why I strongly believe in finding your people, your community, the individuals who motivate you, support you, and help you keep going even on tough days.
At GEM Fitness, my goal is to make sure you feel that support. I want you to feel comfortable coming to me with any questions, concerns, or even just a conversation about your journey. You’re never alone in this, and I’m here to help in any way I can.
